The Maverick

Well it was 89ner days here in Norman this last weekend. Can't say I know what 89 means, something to do with the land rush where a bunch of people cheated and we named our school mascot after them. it's a crazy world. James Garner was here for the festivities, he was the parade chief. turns out that he was a OU alum. Well they dedicated a park and statue to him, I saw the back of his head in the parade. The parade was normal norman fashion, long with lots of candy and a little slow with lots of gaps. Good free fun though for Zeker.
I went riding again with the young punk guys. They are getting alot faster than me, I think I was a little timid for some reason. We still had a few slower guys so I wasn't the slowest one at least. I think we are going to try to enter the all night race with cut off sleeve hawain shirts for jerseys.
Zeke had a dream last night kind of strange. something about a red lady and a dark lady stuck on a fan like peanuts and gum. I would like someone to analyze that one! He had a dream a while back about a robotic cow that was in his bed. I liked that one.
Finals is here and I have a couple projects to do. One project is a presentation on esacalators, I have to write some simulations in FLASH for it. I will add those to the web site soon.
well keep her between the ditches

Englisho tutor

I am tutoring a Chinese guy in English every Thursday morning, which is kind of scary seeing how I only speak bad English but you get what you pay for. I also just met Sameer and Gopi from the fractures lab, they are from India and like to break stuff....we have a lot in common. I am going to work at the church today to fill in for the full time maintenance guy, kind of weird cause no one really has told me what to do, I just wait around for something to break. I am equipped with a walkie talkie and am taking on a schnieder kind of appearance. I need a tool belt and some suspenders.

Zeke Quotes:

I have a list of Zeke quotes here, some are pretty old. We kept a list. By the way I want to say Hello to Justin, Laura, and Toots mourn. Toots is the name Zeke gave to their unborn baby. Toots as in having gas toots as in tooting. Also Kendra and Rick Neil, hello. Some people don't tell me that they are reading maybe cause they are shy maybe some other reason, but I will find out....maybe.

Zeke while working with daddy on a toy car "Bye bye mommy...keep you safe"

Zeke "I swallowed my gum..dog gon it!" (can't remember if I have blogged this one yet or not)

Zeke talking about our coming baby "I hold him and be gentle and the moster bite his toes and he won't feel it"

Zeke "I like cash and donuts"

Back side of my thirties

Yep it was my birthday last Friday, Thanks to all who remembered even though I don't know when anybodys BD is except mine, Angie, and Zeke's. Part of my self centeredness I suppose. Well 35 hits me with a real bad back ache and eyebrows that are starting to loose control of hair length. Right now I have 3 rogue hairs in my eyebrows, another 5 years and I will be like Einstein in a way i never really wanted. I guess it is the way of the professor. Yesterday at church I was standing next to 69 year old Mr Yokel, a lady came up and said that we look alot alike. I laughed at first but then the ramifications set in, I look like a 69 year old! Don't these people have feelings! What a thing to say! Sure I could go around making comparisons of people and things (or older people) standing next to them but I don't. And then Mrs Yokel points out that our physiques are similar, at this point my shoulders hunch and I feel like kicking them in the shins and then going to sooth my back with some bengay!

Well have a great week and remember to think through what you say, it might become a topic for a blog someday.
