embedded systems

So I am Ta'ing for a class called Embedded Systems and I am not helping much. Many factors have led to this.
-The prof was given high recommendations for me, and so had high expectations.
-No time, ES takes a lot of time to TA.
-No prior experience with the Atmel Mega8 chip, which is what we are using.
-Not real great at programming.

right now I am ok with all this and am just doing the best I can, I am only obligated to help 10 hrs a week. So if I can't get all done in that time.....

Our funding runs out this summer, so I am on my own after that. I will be TA'ing again next semester but this summer I am hoping to teach Statics again to make money. if that doesn't happen then Angie and the boys will have to get jobs!

I tested a couple wheels yesterday so now I have some data to play with and show that this machine is not a waste of time. but one of the strain gages in my force torque sensor came loose so I have to do about a days work on that. It might mean a week's worth if I find what caused the problem and have to refit the whole thing. It is cause we saved money and I made my own FT sensor that this happened, but I would not have wanted any other way. At least now I can fix it, if I had burned out a purchased one we would be stuck.

I had a talk with my prof, there is no way to do my qualifying exams his semester. Maybe over the summer and then maybe defend in Dec? that will God to do some miracles, such as the FT sensor being fixed. Matt on the other hand will most likely finish 2-3 doctorates before I am done, what a punk!
